A short documentary investigating how changes to the UK wealth system are affecting people with mental health problems. Under new government plans, everyone currently claiming a disability benefit called Employment and Support Allowance will be retested over the next 3 years.
The government says these assessments are necessary to see whether people with disabilities, mental or physical,
can in fact do some work. There are currently 2.5 million people in the UK claiming this support benefit.
But campaign groups and mental health charities have said the test, called the Work Capability Assessment, is unfair, and is designed to kick people off the benefits which they depend on.
